Bowral Street Childcare is set back from the road on a large block of land and is surrounded by trees... it feels so spacious and rural yet it is close to all local amenities including the local school, hospital and main shopping strip. Our north facing grassed play area is the largest grassed playground of any child care centre in the Southern Highlands; it is complete with playground equipment, a sandpit, lots of natural grass and a large covered area, making outside play possible throughout the year.
Adjacent to our centre is a Community Garden which is run by the Seventh day Adventist Church located behind us, we are encouraged to use the garden and have been allocated a plot for our children to garden. We take a small group of children to the Community Garden on a weekly basis. We grow food in our allocated plot and children have been able to sample what we’ve grown.
Our rooms are large and spacious and designed in a homely manner. Both rooms are filled with natural light and have access to our rear yard and outdoor undercover area, and all spaces are equipped with a wide variety of resources and equipment.
